Curatorial statement
Does time have an expiration date?
Four hundred million seconds — approximately twelve and a half years — marks neither a beginning nor an end, but a threshold: enough time for a child to become an adolescent, for memories to soften, for entire inner worlds to be rebuilt.
Naomi Lautier does not create isolated paintings; she constructs interconnected worlds. Recurring figures and motifs migrate across canvases, gathering new meanings with every reappearance. The complete bodies of work unfold through the accompanying AR experience.
